Our Careteam

Misty
Veterinary Technician
Misty didn’t have many pets while growing up in Dahlonega, Georgia, and she wasn’t entirely sure just how she felt about animals. When she got her first pet about 12 years ago, it was love at first sight! Now Misty is a full-time veterinary professional here at Town and Country Animal Hospital.

Misty first heard about an open kennel position here at the clinic from her daughter, and jumped at the chance to apply. She was hired on January 1st, 2009, and has happily been serving the pets and owners of the area ever since. In addition to her Technician work, Misty has worked in the front-desk area, helped out in the kennels, and has even fixed a doorknob or two around the hospital!

At home, Misty and her boyfriend live with five Chihuahuas—Stinky, Squirt, Fuzzy, Spint, and Joshua—as well as a rescued hound dog named Mama Dog.
Chrissy
Veterinary Assistant, Kennel Technician
Chrissy has been a personal pet sitter for many years, so a career in an animal clinic was a natural and fulfilling move for her. Every day, she gets to work alongside her fellow animal-loving coworkers to help pets lead happier, healthier lives!

Chrissy grew up on a small farm near Athens, Georgia, and joined the Town and Country Animal Hospital team in 2014 after a friend of hers mentioned an open position. For Chrissy, it was the perfect next step in her caregiving career! She especially enjoys interacting with clients, working with the clinic’s boarding pets, and learning something new every day.

At home, Chrissy lives with her dog, Amber, a pair of cats named Emory and Druid, and the family’s newest addition: BeBop, a wildly spirited kitten who adds an immediate spark to the household. When she isn’t spending time with her pets or caring for animals here at the hospital, Chrissy is an avid volunteer and has held volunteer positions in various areas throughout the years. She was even named “most caring” in her college class! Chrissy also enjoys writing, and has even had a few pieces of poetry and prose published.
